Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rosendo Markel took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, SC Braga's Álvaro Sales got a free kick in the 3rd minute. If Yuri Franco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 5th minute, Eurico Queiroga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Américo Brandão was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 8 minutes into the match, Rosendo Markel notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of SC Braga's Américo Brandão. Américo Brandão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Américo Brandão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Jardel in the 11th minute of play. Bairro do Espinhal FC's Zeferino Paixão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeferino Ferreira in the 16th minute of play. Mario Jardel might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Américo Brandão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mario Jardel ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, SC Braga's Américo Brandão got control of the ball when Rosendo Markel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rosendo Markel succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 25th playminute. Zeferino Paixão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Máximo Galvão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Eurico Queiroga took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Américo Brandão to make any attempt to save it. The SC Braga fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when SC Braga's Máximo Galvão looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Rosendo Markel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Máximo Galvão to make the kick off. When Dorel Iuga fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bairro do Espinhal FC's protests and gave Dorel Iuga a yellow card for diving instead. Dorel Iuga hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Bairro do Espinhal FC's Zeferino Paixão got control of the ball when Dércio Garcia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zeferino Ferreira's late challenge caught a Bairro do Espinhal FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zeferino Ferreira helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SC Braga's Zeferino Ferreira got a free kick in the 55th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Bairro do Espinhal FC's goalkeeper Zeferino Paixão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Flávio Azenha. The throw-in from Álvaro Sales in the 62nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Bairro do Espinhal FC's Dorel Iuga. Américo Brandão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rosendo Markel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Máximo Galvão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Bairro do Espinhal FC booed when SC Braga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enzo Salgado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zeferino Paixão didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zeferino Ferreira went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. 73 minutes into the game, Bairro do Espinhal FC's Rosendo Markel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Américo Brandão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. Bairro do Espinhal FC's Tomás Moita was substituted for Dorel Iuga. Bairro do Espinhal FC made a substitution. Amadeu Rios replaced Yuri Franco. Bairro do Espinhal FC's Evandro Vilanova was substituted for Reginaldo Miranda. Zeferino Paixão was a little too slow when Zeferino Ferreira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 80th minute. The score was now 5-3. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Braga's Máximo Galvão slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zeferino Paixão. That made the score 5-4 after 85 minutes of play. Mario Jardel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Américo Brandão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Bairro do Espinhal FC's Zeferino Paixão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flávio Azenha in the 90th minute of play. Américo Brandão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Moita, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Américo Brandão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Moita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomás Moita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Américo Brandão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bairro do Espinhal FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
