The supporters of R.M fc booed when CD Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matias Severiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silvestre Regalado in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Osvaldo Prada saved R.M fc from getting behind. Jorge Quintanilha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guilherme Pegado having to interfere. The supporters of R.M fc booed when CD Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Henriques didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guilherme Pegado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Quintanilha in the 16th minute of play. Adelino Meireles charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adelino Meireles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to R.M fc getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Adelino Meireles hit a great ball. In the 24th minute Jorge Quintanilha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guilherme Pegado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silvestre Regalado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Prada having to interfere. Jorge Quintanilha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Karlos Bencoiechea to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Silvestre Regalado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Osvaldo Prada was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Silvestre Regalado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd minute, Diego Viana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elias Teofilio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. CD Nacional's Sálvio Gois was substituted for Zeferino Amaro. Silvestre Regalado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Osvaldo Prada read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. CD Nacional's Karlos Bencoiechea got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind R.M fc's goalkeeper Osvaldo Prada, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 92nd minute of the game Taufik Ramadhonna made a throw-in which Salvador Lameiras played forward. During the 97th minute of the match Matias Severiano completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Matias Severiano a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. R.M fc's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because CD Nacional had won, even though R.M fc had held more of the ball.
