Caxias F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Nélson Nunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Caxias F.C.'s Monroe Duvall got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The supporters of Caxias F.C. booed when Folga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tarcísio Esparteiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Artun Aydın could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Reinaldo Azeredo made a huge save.
