Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ezekiel Akinwunmi started the match with the kick off. Abdullahi Adaji made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ezekiel Akinwunmi in the 4th minute of play. In the last second Abdullahi Adaji throw himself and got hold of the ball when Ugonnatubelum Gbadebo in the 6thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Bombai Akinyugha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bombai Akinyugha in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Shawai Ononogbo saved Lagos FC from getting behind. In the 15thth minute of the game Bombai Akinyugha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lagos FC's Shawai Ononogbo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 18th minute, Deyour Oyai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tajudeen Ezeagba struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Shawai Ononogbo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Parbold. Shawai Ononogbo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bombai Akinyugha in the 24th minute of the match. Ezekiel Akinwunmi was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 25th minute. Lagos FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 27th minute of the match, Oluwatosin Johnson Famewo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Abdullahi Adaji was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ezekiel Akinwunmi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Abdullahi Adaji tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Lagos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tajudeen Ezeagba came free, but Shawai Ononogbo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tajudeen Ezeagba struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Shawai Ononogbo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Parbold. Oluwatosin Johnson Famewo hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After 39 minutes, Tajudeen Ezeagba mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Parbold and the Lagos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tajudeen Ezeagba in the 44th minute of play forced Lagos FC's goalkeeper Shawai Ononogbo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bombai Akinyugha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shawai Ononogbo having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bombai Akinyugha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bombai Akinyugha might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Shawai Ononogbo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bombai Akinyugha ran back to his position shaking his head. Ezekiel Akinwunmi struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Abdullahi Adaji didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lagos FC. Bombai Akinyugha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shawai Ononogbo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bombai Akinyugha in the 61st minute of the match. Tajudeen Ezeagba blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Shawai Ononogbo having to make a save. When Bombai Akinyugha came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Parbold fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bombai Akinyugha couldn't finish the play. After 67 minutes, Oluwatosin Johnson Famewo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lagos FC and the Parbold players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 67 played minutes Lagos FC got a freekick which was hit by Oluwatosin Johnson Famewo. In the 71st minute there was a penalty for Parbold. Zikoranachukwudimma Al-Makura stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Shawai Ononogbo. 0-1. Bombai Akinyugha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shawai Ononogbo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ibe Owomoyela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tajudeen Ezeagba did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Shawai Ononogbo 87 minutes into the match. Oluwatosin Johnson Famewo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bombai Akinyugha struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Shawai Ononogbo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Parbold. If Ibe Owomoyela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Parbold played a much better game than Lagos FC and deserved their victory. The Lagos FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
