Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rotimi Acholonu started the match with the kick off. In the 6thth minute of the game Kenechi Odido who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kennington AFC's Uzo Auyo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edafe Gishiwari could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Onyewuchi Orjinta made a huge save. Uzo Auyo came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Grove United's Kenechi Odido. But to his dismay, Kenechi Odido quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 16th minute, Chioke Egbuonu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Uzo Auyo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenechi Odido, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kenechi Odido took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Uzo Auyo. Uzo Auyo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Shola Banye received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Uzo Auyo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Uzo Auyo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kenechi Odido in the 36th minute of the match. Kenechi Odido blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Uzo Auyo having to make a save. Kenechi Odido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Uzo Auyo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Shola Banye fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uzo Auyo having to interfere. Ekpeyong Okonkwo kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Kenechi Odido made the kick off in the second half. Uzo Auyo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Shola Banye in the 56th minute. Ijeli Nkut kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. A collision led to Grove United getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Ekpeyong Okonkwo hit a great ball. In the 67th minute, Rotimi Acholonu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Onyewuchi Orjinta was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Shola Banye sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bola Imeh hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute Kenechi Odido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uzo Auyo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olugbenga Ajeroh kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Kenechi Odido's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Uzo Auyo was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Onyewuchi Orjinta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rotimi Acholonu's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Ijeli Nkut's late challenge caught a Kennington AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ijeli Nkut helped the player get up and apologised. After 86 played minutes Grove United got a freekick which was hit by Ijeli Nkut. Shola Banye's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 89thth minute, Uzo Auyo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 90th minute, Kenechi Odido got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kenechi Odido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shola Banye sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kennington AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 97th minute, when Kenechi Odido scored to the left of an out of position Uzo Auyo, making the score, 1-5.
