Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Chesney Houghton hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Geoff Finlay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stiff Osborn having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Geoff Finlay in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stiff Osborn saved Wokingham United from getting behind. After 20 played minutes Goole got a freekick which was hit by Chesney Houghton . Wokingham United's Barry Shepherd couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 21st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Goole. Rodney Oakes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Marty Downs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodney Oakes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Goole's Geoff Finlay got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Wokingham United's Jools McIlroy got a free kick in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geoff Finlay in the 33rd minute of play forced Wokingham United's goalkeeper Stiff Osborn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geoff Finlay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stiff Osborn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Walter Hickson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Geoff Finlay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
The wind increased when Rodney Oakes made the kick off in the second half. When Goole's Geoff Finlay in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Wokingham United's goalie prevented a goal. After 64th play minutes Rodney Oakes shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Marty Downs and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Goole's goalkeeper Marty Downs , but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 69th minute Rodney Oakes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marty Downs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ray Cowling charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ray Cowling the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ray Cowling kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Goole's Marty Downs proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Goole from getting a goal against them. In the 77th match minute, Wokingham United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jools McIlroy to maneuver through the defense. 78 minutes into the match, Goole's Stefan Marriott sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stiff Osborn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Stiff Osborn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geoff Finlay in the 81st minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Ray Cowling hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wayne Patten might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marty Downs . Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wayne Patten ran back to his position shaking his head. 1-2 became the score in the 97th minute when Wayne Patten elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.
