The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of Oakham:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Colo-Colo:s goal. Jay Collier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Reid Clanny, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Colo-Colo's goal looked a bit too open when Travis Gough came free, but Dean Bannister reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute, Jermaine Downs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jay Collier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Reid Clanny in the 43rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonny Dougan in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jay Collier saved Oakham from getting behind.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Travis Gough was the one to do the kick off. Jay Collier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Reid Clanny, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Michael Medlin scored 2-1 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dean Bannister, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 69th minute Michael Medlin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dean Bannister saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Colo-Colo's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Medlin came free, but Dean Bannister reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87thth minute of the game Michael Medlin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Colo-Colo's Dean Bannister was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 93 played minutes Colo-Colo got a freekick which was hit by Jermaine Downs. Dean Bannister showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Travis Gough , who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Oakham fully deserved thier win.
