Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jez Oldroyd started the match with the kick off. When Dave Walmsley fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stanway United's protests and gave Dave Walmsley a yellow card for diving instead. Dave Walmsley hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Stanway United defense, Jonny Dougan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Danny Chivers . The Stanway United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Danny Chivers should have stopped the shot. If Patrick Coton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Liam Wakefield fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dean Bannister having to interfere. Jez Oldroyd charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jez Oldroyd the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Liam Wakefield fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dean Bannister having to interfere. Jez Oldroyd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jermaine Downs hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute Liam Wakefield shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dean Bannister saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jez Oldroyd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 44 minutes in the game, Lucas Reid Clanny fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Danny Chivers having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucas Reid Clanny stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jez Oldroyd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dean Bannister having to interfere. 55 minutes into the game, Jermaine Downs was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Colo-Colo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stanway United the free kick. After a rather tough play, Colo-Colo's Jermaine Downs got a free kick in the 55th minute. Craig Robinson was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 56th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Jez Oldroyd scored 1-2 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dean Bannister, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 66 minutes into the match, Jez Oldroyd dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dean Bannister, 1-3. When Liam Wakefield came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Stanway United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Liam Wakefield couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Jez Oldroyd 's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dean Bannister was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. Jez Oldroyd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dean Bannister having to interfere. After having played for 76 minutes, Liam Wakefield managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stanway United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Liam Wakefield was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 78th minute, Colo-Colo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Liam Wakefield fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Stanway United were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after Colo-Colo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Craig Robinson took the corner. Jez Oldroyd 's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dean Bannister read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. The supporters of Colo-Colo booed when Stanway United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lee Spink didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded Stanway United left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Colo-Colo.
