Lewis Parks didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Great Ayton` FC. Great Ayton` FC's Gerry Moody proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Great Ayton` FC from getting a goal against them. Great Ayton` FC's Gerry Moody played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jim Perryman in the 16th minute of play. When Fred Dewhirst came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Great Ayton` FC fans jumped to their feet. Lewis Parks was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 30 minutes into the match, Stephen Burley had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lewis Parks . Whitechapel's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stephen Burley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Gregory Beadel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerry Moody having to interfere. Jim Perryman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute, Gregory Beadel made a precise shot to the right of Gerry Moody . Great Ayton` FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Noel Bates during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpected shot in the 56th minute by Fred Dewhirst got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After having played for 57 minutes, Fred Dewhirst managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Great Ayton` FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fred Dewhirst was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stephen Burley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Lewis Parks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Whitechapel's Noel Bates got a free kick in the 60th minute. Fred Dewhirst fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lewis Parks having to interfere. Fred Dewhirst could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Lewis Parks made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stephen Burley in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lewis Parks prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Whitechapel's goalkeeper Lewis Parks , but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gerry Moody took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregory Beadel , even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lewis Parks made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Fred Dewhirst sent off a good shot on target. Lewis Parks stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stephen Burley 's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Glenn Young charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Glenn Young the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Glenn Young kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Stephen Burley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lewis Parks having to interfere. Noel Bates kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The Whitechapel supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Great Ayton` FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Great Ayton` FC.
