Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Kenneth Dalton started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Austen Burnett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Derek Vine , who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Austen Burnett came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Shelfield United's John Blake . But to his dismay, John Blake quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Callum Butt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kenneth Dalton in the 13th minute of the match. Austen Burnett didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Derek Vine went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 27th minute, John Blake made a precise shot to the right of Austen Burnett. Avebury AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. When Kenneth Dalton came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Avebury AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kenneth Dalton couldn't finish the play. Damon Gray kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Kelvin Kindness recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kelvin Kindness sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Derek Vine made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Shelfield United's goal looked a bit too open when Kenneth Dalton came free, but Callum Butt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kelvin Kindness fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Callum Butt having to interfere. After 61 minutes, Kelvin Kindness mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Avebury AFC and the Shelfield United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Austen Burnett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Derek Vine in the 64th minute of the match. Avebury AFC's Kenneth Dalton got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Garth Madden during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 72 played minutes Shelfield United got a freekick which was hit by Garth Madden. If Kelvin Kindness had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kenneth Dalton in the 79th minute of play forced Shelfield United's goalkeeper Callum Butt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Callum Butt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kelvin Kindness in the 80th minute of play. In the 84th minute Kenneth Dalton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Callum Butt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Avebury AFC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Kelvin Kindness hit a great ball. Avebury AFC's Kenneth Dalton got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 90th minute, Avebury AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Derek Vine fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when John Blake got free with Austen Burnett in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Chants of Shelfield United echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Avebury AFC had held the ball for most of the match.
