Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Liverpool's George Routledge started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfred Bowen in the 4th minute of play forced Liverpool's goalkeeper Trevor Pearson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stuart Renwick kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the match, Watchet's Alfred Bowen broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Alfred Bowen spun around in front of the goal 10 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Liverpool's goal. George Routledge scored 1-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Liam Dickens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Watchet's Shawn Connell got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Liam Dickens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of George Routledge's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as George Routledge kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Liam Dickens. That made the score 2-0 in the 22 minute of play. When Glenn Slade fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Watchet's protests and gave Glenn Slade a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Watchet getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Glenn Slade hit a great ball. In the 27th match minute, Watchet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Owen Wise to maneuver through the defense. Trevor Pearson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfred Bowen in the 30th minute of play. Trevor Pearson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shawn Connell in the 32nd minute of play. Liam Dickens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Routledge in the 37th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Shawn Connell made a precise shot to the right of Trevor Pearson. Liverpool's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Shawn Connell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Glenn Slade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Watchet's Alfred Bowen in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Liverpool's goalie prevented a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Liam Dickens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Crispin Potterton, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 55thth minute of the game Alfred Bowen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Liverpool's Trevor Pearson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Watchet booed when Liverpool was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julian Ridgeway didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Shawn Connell got free with Trevor Pearson in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Liam Dickens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Crispin Potterton in the 59th minute of play. After 60 played minutes, Liverpool's Julian Ridgeway shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Liam Dickens came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Liverpool reached it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by George Routledge during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 61 played minutes Liverpool got a freekick which was hit by George Routledge. Shawn Connell's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 62ndth minute, Trevor Pearson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Watchet's Liam Dickens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Routledge in the 65th minute of play. Alfred Bowen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Trevor Pearson having to make a save. In the 68thth minute of the game Alfred Bowen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Liverpool's Trevor Pearson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Liam Dickens came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Liverpool's Crispin Potterton. But to his dismay, Crispin Potterton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. 76 minutes into the match, Watchet's goal looked a bit too open when George Routledge came free, but Liam Dickens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bronagh Lineker came free with the goalkeeper in the 79th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Trevor Pearson could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Routledge in the 80th minute of play forced Watchet's goalkeeper Liam Dickens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Liam Dickens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Routledge in the 82nd minute of play. When Owen Wise fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Watchet's protests and gave Owen Wise a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Watchet's Owen Wise got a free kick in the 84th minute. Crispin Potterton might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Liam Dickens. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Crispin Potterton ran back to his position shaking his head. Crispin Potterton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 89 minutes into the match, Watchet's goal looked a bit too open when Crispin Potterton came free, but Liam Dickens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Trevor Pearson made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Shawn Connell sent off a good shot on target. The Liverpool players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
