Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bruce Westerby kicked off to start the match. Steven Blueman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dave Gardner having to interfere. In the 11th match minute, Corby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Verne Banks to maneuver through the defense. Johnnie Skipton took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dave Gardner. Corby's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Bruce Westerby, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 18 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Dave Gardner was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 28th minute Steven Blueman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Gardner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30thth minute of the game Bruce Westerby who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Corby's Dave Gardner was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bruce Westerby in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dave Gardner saved Corby from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Corby's Martin Corby got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Bruce Westerby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Dave Gardner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Verne Banks kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. If Bruce Westerby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Redditch booed when Corby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Corby didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 44 minutes, Steven Blueman made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Corby's Dave Gardner tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Grant Button made a kick off. Harry Medley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Dave Gardner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dave Gardner stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bruce Westerby's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. 56 minutes into the game, Bruce Westerby recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dave Gardner. Bruce Westerby showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Grant Button recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Corby's goalkeeper Dave Gardner, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Redditch's Steven Blueman was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 73rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Andrew Postolan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Grant Button, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd match minute, Corby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Corby to maneuver through the defense. 96 minutes into the match, Steven Blueman notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Corby's Dave Gardner. Dave Gardner was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
