Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Carlton Inman got the match started through his kick off. Don Griffiths made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Ruben Upson sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Workington's Lance Kennedy got a free kick in the 4th minute. Brynn Laycock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradley Topham in the 8th minute of the match. In the 9th minute, Lance Kennedy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Workington's Jim Haylock got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Don Griffiths was a little too slow when Ruben Upson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 19th minute, Camberwell United's David Pearce dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. In the 23rd minute, Danny Woods hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Don Griffiths was a little too slow when Micheal Moss got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 3-0. Don Griffiths showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Micheal Moss, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After 33 minutes, Ruben Upson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Camberwell United and the Workington players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ruben Upson kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Workington's Don Griffiths proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Workington from getting a goal against them. Ruben Upson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Don Griffiths made a huge save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Micheal Moss made a kick off. Don Griffiths took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Titmuss, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 57 minutes into the match, Micheal Moss had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Don Griffiths. Workington's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Micheal Moss was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Bradley Topham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ruben Upson struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Don Griffiths didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Camberwell United. Ruben Upson got his second yellow card in the match during the 68th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Camberwell United's Ruben Upson got a free kick in the 69th minute. Carlton Inman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brynn Laycock having to interfere. A wasted opportunity for Camberwell United. In the 85th minute, David Pearce got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Brynn Laycock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradley Topham in the 90th minute of the match. Micheal Moss recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Camberwell United's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
