The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Tooting getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Ben Washington fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chip Blewitt having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Tooting's goal looked a bit too open when Stephen Oakes came free, but Chip Blewitt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th of the match, Stephen Oakes tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Chip Blewitt got in the way and made a wonderful save. In the 18th minute, Stephen Oakes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Chip Blewitt. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 21st minute Stephen Oakes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chip Blewitt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Maik Clark hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chip Blewitt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stephen Oakes in the 28th minute of the match. With a little luck, Tooting's Chip Blewitt got control of the ball when Maik Clark tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tooting's Chip Blewitt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stephen Oakes in the 34th minute of play. Chip Blewitt acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 44th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Antony Locking. 45 minutes into the match, Tooting's goal looked a bit too open when Matt Perkins came free, but Chip Blewitt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chip Blewitt was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Maik Clark capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Maik Clark really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0.

Chip Blewitt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ben Washington in the 53rd minute of the match. Kenneth Partridge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Tooting defense, Matt Perkins kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chip Blewitt. The Tooting fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chip Blewitt should have stopped the shot. In the 64th minute, Maik Clark hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kenneth Partridge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billy Woods having to interfere. Maik Clark took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chip Blewitt. Chip Blewitt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Oliver Westwood might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Billy Woods. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Oliver Westwood ran back to his position shaking his head. Chip Blewitt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ben Washington in the 77th minute of play. Chip Blewitt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stephen Oakes in the 83rd minute of play. Michael Gamble lost his temper 86 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 86th minute of the game. One of Polperro:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tooting:s goal. Ben Washington fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chip Blewitt having to interfere. In the 97th minute Matt Perkins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chip Blewitt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Tooting players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Polperro.
