Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Kenneth E. Blackwell took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of Netherton booed when Polperro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antony Locking didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeff Hyde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billy Woods having to interfere. Billy Woods made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeff Hyde in the 11th minute. Jeff Hyde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Billy Woods tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Jeff Hyde left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherton fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. When Jeff Hyde fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Netherton's protests and gave Jeff Hyde a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Netherton's Jeff Hyde got a free kick in the 20th minute. Ben Washington received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Cody Griffiths tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeff Hyde might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Billy Woods. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jeff Hyde ran back to his position shaking his head. When Maik Clark fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Polperro's protests and gave Maik Clark a yellow card for diving instead. Maik Clark kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Jeff Hyde notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Polperro's Billy Woods. Billy Woods was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Polperro's Billy Woods played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kenneth E. Blackwell in the 31st minute of play. Kenneth E. Blackwell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Kenneth E. Blackwell kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Billy Woods. That made the score 3-0 in the 39 minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Cody Griffiths stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stephen Oakes's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Billy Woods showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kenneth E. Blackwell in the 55th minute of the match. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Netherton's goalkeeper Cody Griffiths, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ben Washington got free with Cody Griffiths in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jeff Hyde in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Billy Woods saved Polperro from getting behind. When Stephen Oakes came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Polperro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stephen Oakes couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Netherton's Cody Griffiths got control of the ball when Ben Washington tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 77 played minutes Netherton got a freekick which was hit by Kenneth E. Blackwell. 79 minutes into the match, Polperro's goal looked a bit too open when Kenneth E. Blackwell came free, but Billy Woods reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ben Washington received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Cody Griffiths tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Netherton's Cody Griffiths proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Netherton from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Netherton had won after a very even match.
