Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Leap FC's Dermod Ghee started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Derryclure FC were furious when Briain McDecland was red carded, 4 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. A collision led to Derryclure FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Briain McDecland hit a great ball. Tormaigh McJames sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 9 minutes, Leon Caffey made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Leap FC's Brefni Doyle tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 14th minute, Irving Brennan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Blathma John was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 18 minutes into the game, Ciarán Perth cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Blathma John was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 24 minutes into the match, Leap FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Caffey came free, but Brefni Doyle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Blathma John made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciarán Perth in the 31st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leon Caffey in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brefni Doyle saved Leap FC from getting behind. Tormaigh McJames fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brefni Doyle having to interfere. Leon Caffey's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Brefni Doyle firmly grabbed it by the left post. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

In the 53rd minute Leon Caffey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brefni Doyle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Leap FC's zone, Leon Caffey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brefni Doyle came out of the goal and Leon Caffey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Caffey in the 63rd minute of play forced Leap FC's goalkeeper Brefni Doyle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rooney McPeter hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Leap FC's Dermod Ghee got a free kick in the 68th minute. After 71 played minutes Leap FC got a freekick which was hit by Ciarán Perth. A collision led to Derryclure FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Baptist Brennan hit a great ball. Leap FC's Ciarán Perth got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leon Caffey charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leon Caffey the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th minute, Leon Caffey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Leap FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
