Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Theodore Holt got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herygh Perth in the 7th minute of play forced Drumfergus's goalkeeper Breck Caffrey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herygh Perth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Breck Caffrey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Brain McWillie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Theodore Holt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Davie Taylor having to interfere. Breck Caffrey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brain McWillie, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Herygh Perth struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Breck Caffrey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gormasillagh AFC. 28 minutes into the game, Aodh Dempsey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Drumfergus's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gormasillagh AFC the free kick. In the 28th minute, Aodh Dempsey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th minute of the match Kealan Molloy sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Breck Caffrey skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brain McWillie in the 32nd minute of play forced Drumfergus's goalkeeper Breck Caffrey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Theodore Holt was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 34th minute. Drumfergus's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Brain McWillie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breck Caffrey having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brannon Ferguson during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 46th minute, one of Drumfergus:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Drumfergus. Kealan Molloy shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Herygh Perth made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Brain McWillie's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Breck Caffrey was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Davie Taylor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samueil Murphy in the 59th minute of the match. After 60 played minutes Gormasillagh AFC got a freekick which was hit by Seán Callaghan. After having played for 61 minutes, Theodore Holt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Drumfergus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Theodore Holt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Samueil Murphy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Davie Taylor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brain McWillie didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-1 via right post in the game's 64th minute. Gormasillagh AFC's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gormasillagh AFC's goalkeeper Davie Taylor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 75th minute, Theodore Holt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Theodore Holt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Davie Taylor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. The supporters of Gormasillagh AFC booed when Drumfergus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bressail Frankson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes into the game, Drumfergus's Samueil Murphy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Davie Taylor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. 98 minutes in the game, Brain McWillie fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Breck Caffrey having to interfere. Drumfergus were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Gormasillagh AFC for a fine match.
