Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Herygh Perth in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donal Hamilton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 9th minute, Herygh Perth got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Brain McWillie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Donal Hamilton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Fionn McJohnny fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galway Footballers's protests and gave Fionn McJohnny a yellow card for diving instead. Herygh Perth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Donal Hamilton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herygh Perth in the 25th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Galway Footballers's zone, Herygh Perth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donal Hamilton came out of the goal and Herygh Perth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Donal Hamilton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Herygh Perth's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. 33 minutes into the match, Galway Footballers's goal looked a bit too open when Herygh Perth came free, but Donal Hamilton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Galway Footballers defense, Herygh Perth kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Donal Hamilton. The Galway Footballers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Donal Hamilton should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brain McWillie in the 44th minute of play forced Galway Footballers's goalkeeper Donal Hamilton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Galway Footballers's Rownun McMichel got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rownun McMichel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Galway Footballers's Donal Hamilton got control of the ball when Brain McWillie tried to sneak it across the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, Galway Footballers's goal looked a bit too open when Herygh Perth came free, but Donal Hamilton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brain McWillie got free with Donal Hamilton in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 59 minutes, Herygh Perth made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Galway Footballers's Donal Hamilton tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Riley Savic scored 1-2 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Davie Taylor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Rownun McMichel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Davie Taylor was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. After 76 minutes of play, Galway Footballers's Rownun McMichel made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Davie Taylor was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 82nd minute of the match Bardan Cooney sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Davie Taylor skillfully saved the ball. Galway Footballers's Rownun McMichel got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Brain McWillie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Brain McWillie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Boylan McWilliam kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Galway Footballers's zone, Kealan Molloy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donal Hamilton came out of the goal and Kealan Molloy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
