Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Ballydivin's Comhghall Dillon started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With his leg Emmet Costello managed to avoid a goal in the 3rdth minute, when Ballydivin's Comhghall Dillon fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Lismorahaun's Brendanus McPhilip got a free kick in the 4th minute. Emmet Costello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bard McFrancise in the 5th minute of play. Bram Gough kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Ballydivin's Bard McFrancise sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emmet Costello narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Brann McNamara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sheridan Coyle in the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Bard McFrancise reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Emmet Costello. The goal made the score 1-0. Bard McFrancise struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Emmet Costello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballydivin. A collision led to Ballydivin getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Art Silke hit a great ball. Bard McFrancise recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bard McFrancise sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henry McOliver during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Henry McOliver kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Bard McFrancise recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bard McFrancise received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Emmet Costello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
After 60 minutes of play, Ballydivin's Bard McFrancise made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emmet Costello was left in no man's land by his defense there! Brendanus McPhilip kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Emmet Costello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Comhghall Dillon in the 69th minute of play. Comhghall Dillon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emmet Costello having to interfere. Ballydivin's Comhghall Dillon got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bard McFrancise in the 76th minute of play forced Lismorahaun's goalkeeper Emmet Costello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bard McFrancise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emmet Costello having to interfere. After 81 minutes, Breen Johnson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ballydivin and the Lismorahaun players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Darren Matthews during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 85th minute of the game. One of Lismorahaun:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ballydivin:s goal. Lismorahaun:s Emmet Costello showed great skill when he stopped Art Silke:s penalty. 88 minutes into the match, Lismorahaun's goal looked a bit too open when Comhghall Dillon came free, but Emmet Costello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emmet Costello came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ballydivin's Bard McFrancise. But to his dismay, Bard McFrancise quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ballydivin had played much better football throughout.
