The crowd rose to their feet as Kindrohid's Phelim McLaughlin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Donall McCollion. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. Cáirbre Sheridan struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Oliver Palmer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ladysbridge. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Patton McMichel in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oliver Palmer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A well-hit corner resulted in Nolen McOliver heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. If Cáirbre Sheridan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ladysbridge's Bragain MaCollin got a free kick in the 25th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Batt Rogers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kindrohid's supporters rose to their feet, but Batt Rogers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donall McCollion breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Geary Benson during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th match minute, Kindrohid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geary Benson to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Batt Rogers in the 32nd minute of play forced Ladysbridge's goalkeeper Donall McCollion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Patton McMichel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Kindrohid's zone, Cáirbre Sheridan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oliver Palmer came out of the goal and Cáirbre Sheridan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Phelim McLaughlin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donall McCollion having to interfere. Oliver Palmer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cáirbre Sheridan in the 59th minute of the match. Oliver Palmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cáirbre Sheridan in the 62nd minute of play. 66 minutes into the game, Toren Moran was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kindrohid's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ladysbridge the free kick. After a rather tough play, Kindrohid's Toren Moran got a free kick in the 66th minute. Oliver Palmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cáirbre Sheridan in the 67th minute of play. Cáirbre Sheridan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 92nd match minute, Ladysbridge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patton McMichel to maneuver through the defense. Ladysbridge's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Kindrohid had won, even though Ladysbridge had held more of the ball.
