Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Glenn Gallagher got the match started through his kick off. Brendanus Sheridan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Bevan Rutherford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beollan McSteven stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Glenn Gallagher's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Beollan McSteven made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glenn Gallagher in the 8th minute of play. Becc Mullan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Beollan McSteven showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glenn Gallagher in the 11th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Rathglass's zone, Glenn Gallagher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beollan McSteven came out of the goal and Glenn Gallagher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 17 played minutes Rathglass got a freekick which was hit by Birr Tierney. A collision led to Rathglass getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Lee McFrancise hit a great ball. The long shot by Timothy Mullan in the 29th minute really tested Beollan McSteven's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Bevan Rutherford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beltany Mullan, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Brendanus Sheridan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bevan Rutherford having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Garrykonnedy's zone, Brendanus Sheridan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bevan Rutherford came out of the goal and Brendanus Sheridan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Donan Silke lost his temper 39 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 38 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rathglass! Glenn Gallagher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
The wind increased when Brendanus Sheridan made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Rathglass defense, Becc Mullan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Beollan McSteven. The Rathglass fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Beollan McSteven should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Rathglass's Tirloch Dempsey got a free kick in the 59th minute. Beollan McSteven took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Becc Mullan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Glenn Gallagher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Rathglass defense, Glenn Gallagher kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Beollan McSteven. The Rathglass fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Beollan McSteven should have stopped the shot. In the 72nd minute Glenn Gallagher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beollan McSteven saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Becc Mullan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beollan McSteven having to interfere. Timothy Mullan hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute, Glenn Gallagher ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Beollan McSteven was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Becc Mullan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Beollan McSteven tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Rathglass players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Garrykonnedy.
