The shot was a little too simple and Blathmacc McLaughlin could save by the left post. Blathmacc McLaughlin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barclay McTom in the 7th minute of play. Tierney McGlenn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rordan McJon, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Bairne Hughes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Blathmacc McLaughlin made a huge save. In the 14th minute, Rordan McJon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Firmount fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 17th minute Barclay McTom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blathmacc McLaughlin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute Boyce Dalton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blathmacc McLaughlin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21stth minute of the game Rordan McJon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Newtownbarry FC's Tierney McGlenn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Newtownbarry FC's goal looked a bit too open when Barney McCready came free, but Tierney McGlenn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Barney McCready kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Tierney McGlenn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rordan McJon, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Newtownbarry FC's Tierney McGlenn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barney McCready in the 32nd minute of play. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tierney McGlenn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barney McCready in the 45th minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Barney McCready left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Firmount fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Tierney McGlenn didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Firmount's Barney McCready shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-3 in the ordered_time% minute. Killian Delaney charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Killian Delaney the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Barney McCready who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Tierney McGlenn when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Firmount getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Torran McCollion hit a great ball. Boyce Dalton kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Tierney McGlenn acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 88th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Torran McCollion. Barclay McTom's late challenge caught a Firmount's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Barclay McTom helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th minute, Barclay McTom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tierney McGlenn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rordan McJon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 95 minutes, Saoirse McIan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Newtownbarry FC and the Firmount players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 95 played minutes Newtownbarry FC got a freekick which was hit by Saoirse McIan. The Firmount players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
