The audience thought a goal was coming when Blaine Hughes got free with Ravan McStephen in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rahtnnane's Brannon McGlynn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daron Rutherford in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daron Rutherford in the 12th minute of play forced Rahtnnane's goalkeeper Brannon McGlynn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pauric Moran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Brannon McGlynn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blayne Ryan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rahtnnane's Blaine Hughes got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herich McStephen in the 30th minute of play forced Rahtnnane's goalkeeper Brannon McGlynn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Ardmore Rovers FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Dennis Dempsey hit a great ball. Pauric Moran's late challenge caught a Rahtnnane's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pauric Moran helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th minute of the match Brenda Horgan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ravan McStephen skillfully saved the ball. Ardmore Rovers FC's Pauric Moran got his second yellow card of the match in the 39th minute. The referee ordered Pauric Moran off the ground. Blayne Ryan spun around in front of the goal 40 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Ardmore Rovers FC's goal. After having played for 54 minutes, Daron Rutherford managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ardmore Rovers FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daron Rutherford was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brenda Horgan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ravan McStephen. Ardmore Rovers FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 59th minute, Blayne Ryan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rahtnnane fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Ardmore Rovers FC's zone, Blaine Hughes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ravan McStephen came out of the goal and Blaine Hughes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Brannagh Hunt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ravan McStephen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blayne Ryan, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Blaine Hughes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Ravan McStephen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute Blayne Ryan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ravan McStephen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Rahtnnane's Brannon McGlynn got control of the ball when Daron Rutherford tried to sneak it across the goal line.
