Brannon McGlynn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Boru McStephen in the 8th minute. Blaine Hughes hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 10th match minute, Kilbeggan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cleary Matthews to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute Blayne Ryan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ravan Savic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th match minute, Rahtnnane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fachtna Caffrey to maneuver through the defense. Brannon McGlynn was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Harkin Rutherford showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. Kilbeggan's Branagain McWillie quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Fachtna Caffrey, made in the 21st minute of the game. 26 minutes into the match, Kilbeggan's goal looked a bit too open when Blaine Hughes came free, but Ravan Savic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the game, Blayne Ryan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ravan Savic was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 36 minutes into the game, Boru McStephen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Brannon McGlynn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kilbeggan's Ravan Savic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blaine Hughes in the 40th minute of play. Boru McStephen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes in the game, Harkin Rutherford fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Brannon McGlynn having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Harkin Rutherford charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Harkin Rutherford the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 57th match minute, Kilbeggan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harkin Rutherford to maneuver through the defense. Ravan Savic was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Geralt Hunt. A collision led to Kilbeggan getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Bracken Perth hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Rahtnnane's zone, Harkin Rutherford stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brannon McGlynn came out of the goal and Harkin Rutherford tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Rahtnnane booed when Kilbeggan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bragan Ferguson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 75 played minutes, Rahtnnane's Brenda Horgan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ravan Savic came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rahtnnane reached it. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rahtnnane's goalkeeper Brannon McGlynn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ravan Savic made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Iarla Hutton sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Rahtnnane booed when Kilbeggan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bragan Ferguson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 85 minutes into the game, when Bracken Perth put in a rough tackle. After 84 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Kilbeggan! The referee gave Rahtnnane a penalty, 87 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Brenda Horgan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Kilbeggan's Ravan Savic. 2-3. If Iarla Hutton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rahtnnane's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
