Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Donagh Walker took the kick off in the first half of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Donagh Walker got free with Baiste Murphy in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lavally's Aban McFrancise played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baydan McNamee in the 9th minute of play. Philip McTommy kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. When Gerard Ghee came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Drimmeen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerard Ghee couldn't finish the play. In the 22nd minute, Quinn Walker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lavally's Emmet McIan managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Patty Glen Crowe in the 24 minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Drimmeen's Quinn Walker got a free kick in the 25th minute. If Donagh Walker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nolyn Kirby kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Boland Grant kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Baiste Murphy. That made the score 1-0 in the 37 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Drimmeen's zone, Donagh Walker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baiste Murphy came out of the goal and Donagh Walker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baydan McNamee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Aban McFrancise tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th match minute, Drimmeen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Breffni Dunne to maneuver through the defense.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nolyn Kirby made a kick off. Boland Grant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 56 minutes into the match, Lavally's Boland Grant sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Baiste Murphy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Patty Glen Crowe made in the 58th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Lavally's Emmet McIan. Boland Grant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Baiste Murphy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baiste Murphy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boland Grant, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. With a little luck, Lavally's Aban McFrancise got control of the ball when Quinn Walker tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Donagh Walker in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baiste Murphy saved Drimmeen from getting behind. Baiste Murphy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donagh Walker, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Donagh Walker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baiste Murphy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donagh Walker in the 75th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Donagh Walker's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Baiste Murphy was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Kevis McPaul charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kevis McPaul the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 87th minute, one of Drimmeen:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Drimmeen. Baiste Murphy had in the 89thth minute some difficulties stopping Blathma Robinson's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 89 minutes into the game, Lavally's Blathma Robinson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Baiste Murphy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The supporters of Drimmeen booed when Lavally was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philip McTommy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aban McFrancise made an important save on a dangerous shot by Quinn Walker in the 95th minute. 98 minutes into the match, Donagh Walker had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Baiste Murphy. Drimmeen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donagh Walker was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0.
