Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Camborne's Jasper Stansfield started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mark Topham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Bill Stead tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Camborne's Sid Morrell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rufus Mortimer in the 19th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Rufus Mortimer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rufus Mortimer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 37th minute of the game. One of Redbourn United:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Camborne:s goal. When the match had been going on for 39 minutes, Camborne's Jonny Osborn got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Bill Stead. In the 42nd minute Marek Ashford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sid Morrell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Marek Ashford managed to get in a good position for a shot. Redbourn United's supporters rose to their feet, but Marek Ashford was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sid Morrell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 45 minutes, Leo Mudd mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Camborne and the Redbourn United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leo Mudd hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Rufus Mortimer made the kick off in the second half. Redbourn United's Rufus Mortimer got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 56 minutes into the match, Redbourn United's goal looked a bit too open when Mark Topham came free, but Bill Stead reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mark Topham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Bill Stead tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Redbourn United's Marek Ashford got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Redbourn United's zone, Mark Topham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bill Stead came out of the goal and Mark Topham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Jasper Stansfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 68 played minutes Redbourn United got a freekick which was hit by Richard Jobling. Jasper Stansfield fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bill Stead having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Redbourn United's zone, Mark Topham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bill Stead came out of the goal and Mark Topham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mark Topham struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Bill Stead didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Camborne. After having played for 84 minutes, Marek Ashford managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Redbourn United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marek Ashford was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Rufus Mortimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by Redbourn United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jonny Osborn was slow to take the kick. During this time Camborne's players had a chance to rest. Jasper Stansfield made a great header on Camborne's corner, it was just that Redbourn United's Bill Stead managed to reach the ball for a save. Rufus Mortimer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
