Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) In the 2nd minute, Charlie Boxall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Blackpool getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Robbie Barltrop hit a great ball. Thornbury's Ian Langford shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 11th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Stu Oliver but with some difficulty. 15 minutes into the game, one of Blackpool:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The crowd rose to their feet as Harvey Bass kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Stu Oliver. That made the score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. In the 21st match minute, Thornbury was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charlie Boxall to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Thornbury's zone, Luke Waller stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damion Byfield came out of the goal and Luke Waller tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thornbury's Damion Byfield played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vernon Langley in the 28th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Luke Waller managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blackpool's supporters rose to their feet, but Luke Waller was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damion Byfield breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luke Waller's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Damion Byfield read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Damion Byfield showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luke Waller, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Graham Coulthard got free with Stu Oliver in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Harvey Bass stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Vernon Langley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blackpool's supporters rose to their feet, but Vernon Langley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damion Byfield breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Graham Coulthard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thornbury's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Charlie Wishart 62 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. In the 68th minute, Charlie Boxall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luke Waller could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Damion Byfield made a huge save. When Vernon Langley came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Blackpool fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vernon Langley couldn't finish the play. Thornbury's Damion Byfield proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Thornbury from getting a goal against them. Graham Coulthard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stu Oliver having to interfere. If Harvey Bass had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harvey Bass in the 83rd minute of play forced Blackpool's goalkeeper Stu Oliver to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damion Byfield made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luke Waller in the 85th minute. Vernon Langley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Thornbury fans cheered their team off the field, for while Blackpool had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
