Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Terry Leighton made the kick off which started today's match. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Denny Farmer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sheffield's supporters rose to their feet, but Denny Farmer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Gamble breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Will Love made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Terry Leighton sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denny Farmer in the 7th minute of play forced Hockley's goalkeeper Joel Gamble to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute of the match, Ben Haxby got a very nice opportunity to score, but Will Love was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hockley's goalkeeper Joel Gamble, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joel Gamble made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darryl Darko in the 19th minute of play. Terry Leighton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Will Love having to interfere. Joel Gamble showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denny Farmer in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 35th minute Denny Farmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Gamble saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Denny Farmer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joel Gamble showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darryl Darko in the 45th minute of the match. Terry Leighton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Will Love having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Denny Farmer made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, Hockley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robin Hook to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute, Sheffield's Denny Farmer dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. If Terry Leighton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eric Hudson kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After 60 played minutes Hockley got a freekick which was hit by Ben Haxby. If Darryl Darko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Joel Gamble made an important save on a dangerous shot by Darryl Darko in the 81st minute. If Ben Haxby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Blair Cryer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Will Love having to interfere. When Terry Leighton, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 87 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Will Love was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar.
