Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Kelvin Halliday made the kick off which started today's match. In the 4th minute Terry Leighton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Whittington saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Studley United's Kelvin Halliday in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hockley's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Keiran Kerfoot in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joel Gamble prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Terry Leighton who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Damian Whittington when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ben Haxbys short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Damian Whittington to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Ben Haxby managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hockley's supporters rose to their feet, but Ben Haxby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damian Whittington breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 24th minute Keiran Kerfoot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Gamble saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute, one of Studley United:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Studley United. Studley United's Damian Whittington proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Studley United from getting a goal against them. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Terry Leighton was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Hockley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Terry Leighton to maneuver through the defense. When Stewart Platt fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Studley United's protests and gave Stewart Platt a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Studley United's Stewart Platt got a free kick in the 57th minute. Ben Haxby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damian Whittington having to interfere. Damian Whittington came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Hockley's Terry Leighton. But to his dismay, Terry Leighton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 66th minute, Ben Haxby got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ben Haxby's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Damian Whittington read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. In the 75th match minute, Studley United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kelvin Halliday to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute of the match Hockley got a corner. Studley United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Robin Hook ran over to the corner to take the kick. Michael Musgrove kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Terry Leighton in the 88th minute of play forced Studley United's goalkeeper Damian Whittington to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damian Whittington took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Terry Leighton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Studley United booed when Hockley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Greg Best didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hockley were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Studley United for a fine match.
