Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tim Mitchell-King kicked off to start the match. Ethan Cordingley came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by New Romney United's Rick Rundell. But to his dismay, Rick Rundell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 7 minutes into the match, New Romney United's goal looked a bit too open when Carl Calder came free, but Jeff Cordingley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rick Rundell's late challenge caught a Penistone City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rick Rundell helped the player get up and apologised. In the 8th match minute, New Romney United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rick Rundell to maneuver through the defense. Penistone City's Ethan Cordingley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tim Mitchell-King in the 11th minute of play. Ethan Cordingley stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tim Mitchell-King's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carl Calder in the 21st minute of play forced New Romney United's goalkeeper Jeff Cordingley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute Carl Calder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeff Cordingley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 34 played minutes Penistone City got a freekick which was hit by Greg Singleton. Ethan Cordingley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tim Mitchell-King, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tim Mitchell-King in the 37th minute of play forced Penistone City's goalkeeper Ethan Cordingley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grant Slator kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Grant Slator fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ethan Cordingley having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Grant Slator's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ethan Cordingley was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Grant Slator blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ethan Cordingley having to make a save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carl Calder was the one to do the kick off. Sammy Newton kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Fraser Meechan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ethan Cordingley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tim Mitchell-King in the 64th minute of play. After 66 played minutes New Romney United got a freekick which was hit by Rick Rundell. Ethan Cordingley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tim Mitchell-King in the 71st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carl Calder in the 72nd minute of play forced New Romney United's goalkeeper Jeff Cordingley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd match minute, Penistone City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kyle Verity to maneuver through the defense. Grant Slator recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Grant Slator fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ethan Cordingley having to interfere. Grant Slator fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ethan Cordingley having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Penistone City's goalkeeper Ethan Cordingley had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Grant Slator. The audience was convinced that Tim Mitchell-King's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ethan Cordingley was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. 86 minutes into the match, Grant Slator notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Penistone City's Ethan Cordingley. Ethan Cordingley was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 92nd minute, Greg Singleton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute Tim Mitchell-King shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ethan Cordingley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grant Slator recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Penistone City fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. New Romney United were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
