Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) New Ash Green FC's Scott Lamb started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. New Ash Green FC's Frank Fairbank played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bobby Wadham in the 3rd minute of play. Bryan Rashleigh took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frank Fairbank. Frank Fairbank dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bryan Rashleigh in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frank Fairbank prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Scott Lamb sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Scott Lamb in the 25th minute of play forced Kenilworth FC's goalkeeper Rupert Harris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Kenilworth FC's zone, Bart Staple stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rupert Harris came out of the goal and Bart Staple tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bryan Rashleigh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Fairbank having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bobby Wadham in the 37th minute of play forced New Ash Green FC's goalkeeper Frank Fairbank to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Bryan Rashleigh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rupert Harris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Scott Lamb in the 48th minute of the match. The New Ash Green FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Kenilworth FC were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bryan Rashleigh to make the kick off. Ivan Blake hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bobby Wadham got free with Frank Fairbank in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 59 minutes, Jake Bull mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the New Ash Green FC and the Kenilworth FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jake Bull hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Marlon Larham hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Bobby Wadham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Fairbank having to interfere. Rupert Harris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Scott Lamb in the 78th minute of the match. Scott Lamb blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rupert Harris having to make a save.
