Marcus Hurdle took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 6th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ian Parry. Southall City's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 7 minutes into the game, Harvey Auckland cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ian Parry was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Barrie Holloway might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stu Wood. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Barrie Holloway ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucas Constantine in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stu Wood saved Andover City from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Andover City's Neil Scargill got a free kick in the 11th minute. An unexpected shot in the 12th minute by Barrie Holloway got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Lucas Constantine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Seb Robinson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Warren Harland charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Warren Harland the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 19th minute, Warren Harland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lucas Constantine struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Stu Wood didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Southall City. 21 minutes into the game, Ashley Miles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Southall City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Andover City the free kick. After 26 minutes, Barrie Holloway mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Southall City and the Andover City players grew even worse after the yellow card. Barrie Holloway hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robbie Busby in the 28th minute of play forced Southall City's goalkeeper Ian Parry to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Barrie Holloway notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Andover City's Stu Wood. Stu Wood was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 36 minutes into the match, Andover City's goalkeeper Stu Wood had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Barrie Holloway. Stu Wood showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Constantine in the 42nd minute of the match. Ashley Miles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Stu Wood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The wind increased when Lucas Constantine made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Harvey Auckland recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ian Parry. Harvey Auckland showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. After 55 minutes, Lawrence Thurman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Southall City and the Andover City players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 55th match minute, Southall City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lawrence Thurman to maneuver through the defense. Seb Robinson kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Lucas Constantine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. In the 67th minute, Lucas Constantine made a precise shot to the right of Stu Wood. Andover City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Barrie Holloway received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Stu Wood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stu Wood took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Constantine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the match, Andover City's goal looked a bit too open when Barrie Holloway came free, but Stu Wood reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barrie Holloway in the 79th minute of play forced Andover City's goalkeeper Stu Wood to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ian Parry showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neil Scargill, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 84th minute, Tommy Portway hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stu Wood took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Constantine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucas Constantine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stu Wood having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
