Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Shaun Hornsby got the match started through his kick off. A hard shot 5 in the game by Shaun Hornsby from a close distance when the talented Neil Gamble managed to make a qualified save. Clacton City's players were relieved. 11 minutes into the match, Clacton City's goal looked a bit too open when Shaun Hornsby came free, but Neil Gamble reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th match minute, Clacton City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nick Tyson to maneuver through the defense. Shaun Hornsby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Neil Gamble tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Andy Johnson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Shaun Hornsby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Neil Gamble having to interfere. When Shaun Hornsby came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Chilcompton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shaun Hornsby couldn't finish the play. With his leg Neil Gamble managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Chilcompton's Shaun Hornsby fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Chilcompton's Kelvin Verity got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Shaun Hornsby came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Chilcompton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shaun Hornsby couldn't finish the play. In the 48th minute, Shaun Hornsby made a precise shot to the right of Neil Gamble. Clacton City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rio Ashby was the one to do the kick off. Neil Gamble showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shaun Hornsby, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Eric Cantona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Shaun Hornsby came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Chilcompton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shaun Hornsby couldn't finish the play. Neil Gamble stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Shaun Hornsby's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. After 76 minutes, Nick Tyson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clacton City and the Chilcompton players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nick Tyson kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 79 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Shaun Hornsby sped through Clacton City's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Neil Gamble. Clacton City's Pierce Thompson suffered a sore thigh after 83 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 84 minutes, Alf Garforth mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chilcompton and the Clacton City players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Cantona in the 89th minute of play forced Clacton City's goalkeeper Neil Gamble to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Shaun Hornsby in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Neil Gamble prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Shaun Hornsby in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Neil Gamble saved Clacton City from getting behind. When Shaun Hornsby got free in front of the goal in the 99th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Neil Gamble was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. There was no doubt that Chilcompton were the better team. Chilcompton's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
