Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Cliff Bond started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Black Country's Jason Rawlings played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paddy Griggs in the 2nd minute of play. After having played for 4 minutes, Paddy Griggs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Edgware United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paddy Griggs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 5 minutes of play, Edgware United's Paddy Griggs made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jason Rawlings was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jason Rawlings showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jay Knott, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. When Edgware United's Jay Knott in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Black Country's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Jay Knott's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jason Rawlings was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Paddy Griggs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Edgware United's supporters rose to their feet, but Paddy Griggs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jason Rawlings breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Black Country getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Cliff Bond hit a great ball. Jason Rawlings didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jay Knott went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 27th minute, Conan Stansfield hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paddy Griggs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jason Rawlings having to interfere. Jay Knott recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paddy Griggs scored 0-3 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jason Rawlings, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Black Country players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Edgware United were winning 0-3.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jay Knott stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Jay Knott got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Black Country's Jason Rawlings played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jay Knott in the 56th minute of play. With a little luck, Black Country's Jason Rawlings got control of the ball when Paddy Griggs tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Edgware United booed when Black Country was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shane Faulkner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgware United's Todd Pearch shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 70th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jason Rawlings but with some difficulty. Giles Hough hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Jason Rawlings showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jay Knott in the 72nd minute of the match. Nathan Case made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cliff Bond in the 76th minute of play. In the 76th match minute, Edgware United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eric English to maneuver through the defense. In the 80thth minute of the game Jay Knott who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Black Country's Jason Rawlings was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Paddy Griggs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jason Rawlings showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jay Knott, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Edgware United's Paddy Griggs got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 96th minute of the game. One of Black Country:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Edgware United:s goal. The Black Country fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Edgware United were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
