The supporters of Crowngate booed when SEMI CROCS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Todd Cahill didn't get a good kick on the ball. 4 minutes into the match, Crowngate's Reggie Nicholson broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 11th minute, Barry Land ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pat Neville was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Malcolm Sledge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 21 played minutes Malcolm Sledge rounded SEMI CROCS FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. John Gamble kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Malcolm Sledge in the 28th minute of play forced SEMI CROCS FC's goalkeeper Eric Rawlings to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Barry Land notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Crowngate's Pat Neville. Pat Neville was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 39 played minutes SEMI CROCS FC got a freekick which was hit by Todd Cahill. In the 40th minute Malcolm Sledge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Rawlings saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eric Rawlings made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garry Shaw in the 45th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rowan Letheren was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Crowngate getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Reggie Nicholson hit a great ball. Pat Neville made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rowan Letheren in the 53rd minute. 54 minutes into the game, Denzil Greenman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Crowngate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SEMI CROCS FC the free kick. A collision led to Crowngate getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Denzil Greenman hit a great ball. Jason Bridgeworth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Eric Rawlings tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Crowngate's Malcolm Sledge got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jason Bridgeworth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Eric Rawlings tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rowan Letheren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brendon Knight kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Malcolm Sledge charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Eric Rawlings dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Kieran Carroll's late challenge caught a Crowngate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kieran Carroll helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rd minute, Kieran Carroll hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Malcolm Sledge managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crowngate's supporters rose to their feet, but Malcolm Sledge was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eric Rawlings breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 88 minutes into the match, Crowngate's Jason Bridgeworth sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eric Rawlings narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Malcolm Sledge in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eric Rawlings prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rowan Letheren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pat Neville having to interfere. Kieran Carroll sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. During the 95th minute of the match Denzil Greenman completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Denzil Greenman a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Denzil Greenman hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the SEMI CROCS FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Crowngate.
