An unexpectedly hard shot by Graeme Theakston in the 5th minute of play forced Kimpton's goalkeeper Krzysztof Skwira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Kimpton booed when Seaford was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerome Bartlett didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rowan Kempson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pete Machin in the 8th minute. Rowan Kempson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Paul Hargreaves in the 13th minute of play. Jussef Ben Menguellet placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After 28 played minutes Kimpton got a freekick which was hit by Pete Machin. Krzysztof Skwira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricky Croyden, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After a rather tough play, Seaford's Austen Bolton got a free kick in the 34th minute. If Brett Kent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Seaford's zone, Pete Machin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rowan Kempson came out of the goal and Pete Machin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rowan Kempson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brett Kent in the 39th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Seaford's goal looked a bit too open when Brett Kent came free, but Rowan Kempson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 41 minutes of play, Kimpton's Brett Kent made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rowan Kempson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ricky Croyden hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Brett Kent fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rowan Kempson having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Brett Kent made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Brett Kent managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kimpton's supporters rose to their feet, but Brett Kent was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rowan Kempson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 60 minutes, Pete Machin made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Seaford's Rowan Kempson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 65 minutes, Brett Kent managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kimpton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brett Kent was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 68 minutes of play, Kimpton's Stu Fleetham made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rowan Kempson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 74th minute, Brett Kent made a precise shot to the right of Rowan Kempson. Seaford's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. With a little luck, Kimpton's Krzysztof Skwira got control of the ball when Austen Bolton tried to sneak it across the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Kimpton's goal looked a bit too open when Ricky Croyden came free, but Krzysztof Skwira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pete Machin kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Stu Fleetham struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Rowan Kempson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kimpton. With a little luck, Kimpton's Krzysztof Skwira got control of the ball when Christian Laverack tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Kimpton players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
