After a defensive mix-up in Watton-at-Stone's zone, Wayne Dunne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abraham Murtagh came out of the goal and Wayne Dunne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Watton-at-Stone's Abraham Murtagh proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Watton-at-Stone from getting a goal against them. The Dunmow players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
