Joseph Beckford made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nusrettin Sehrud in the 3rd minute. 5 minutes into the match, Askam United's goalkeeper Joseph Beckford had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nusrettin Sehrud. A collision led to Askam United getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Charlie Platt hit a great ball. In the 7th minute, Legionnaires's Nusrettin Sehrud ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Joseph Beckford. Joseph Beckford yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Joseph Beckford made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Nusrettin Sehrud sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Arın Soner's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joseph Beckford was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Nusrettin Sehrud struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Joseph Beckford didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Legionnaires. After a rather tough play, Askam United's Romeo Swallow got a free kick in the 15th minute. Arın Soner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Joseph Beckford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the game, Legionnaires's Nusrettin Sehrud nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joseph Beckford made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Arın Soner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute, Eddy Cooper got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Mark Scrivener had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute of the match, Arın Soner tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Joseph Beckford saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 38th minute, Nusrettin Sehrud got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Eddy Cooper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arın Soner was the one to do the kick off. When Nusrettin Sehrud fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Legionnaires's protests and gave Nusrettin Sehrud a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Legionnaires's Nusrettin Sehrud got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After some careless play in the Legionnaires defense, Eddy Cooper kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robert Topham. The Legionnaires fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robert Topham should have stopped the shot. The Legionnaires fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when Legionnaires's Arın Soner looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 67th minute, Arın Soner ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joseph Beckford was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. In the 71stth minute of the game Arın Soner who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Askam United's Joseph Beckford was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joseph Beckford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arın Soner, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 76thth minute of the game Arın Soner who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Askam United's Joseph Beckford was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Arın Soner sped through Askam United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joseph Beckford. In the 84th minute, Arın Soner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 86 minutes into the game, Charlie Platt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Askam United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Legionnaires the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arın Soner in the 90th minute of play forced Askam United's goalkeeper Joseph Beckford to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute, Nusrettin Sehrud got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
