Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Alastair Cooke took the kick off in the first half of the match. Joseph Beckford didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alastair Cooke went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After having played for 9 minutes, Alastair Cooke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bacup FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alastair Cooke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Askam United getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Kieran Barker hit a great ball. After 10 played minutes, Bacup FC's Lucas Griffin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Joseph Beckford came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bacup FC reached it. Abraham Best fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joseph Beckford having to interfere. Joseph Beckford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alastair Cooke, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Charlie Platt during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Askam United's Charlie Platt got a free kick in the 19th minute. When Bacup FC's Abraham Best in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Askam United's goalie prevented a goal. 29 minutes into the match, Askam United's goal looked a bit too open when Abraham Best came free, but Joseph Beckford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joseph Beckford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brian Nancy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laurence Button lost his temper 34 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 33 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Askam United! In the 36th minute there was a penalty for Bacup FC. Lucas Griffin stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Joseph Beckford. 0-3. In the 39th minute, Alastair Cooke got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Charlie Platt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Mattias Watkins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Charlie Platt made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Brian Nancy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bacup FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. 55 minutes into the match, Askam United's goalkeeper Joseph Beckford had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abraham Best. Alastair Cooke struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Joseph Beckford didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bacup FC. 58 minutes into the match, Askam United's goal looked a bit too open when Alastair Cooke came free, but Joseph Beckford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joseph Beckford was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alastair Cooke showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 60 minute of play. Joseph Beckford was a little too slow when Alastair Cooke got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 0-6. Alastair Cooke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alastair Cooke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joseph Beckford having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Bacup FC's Abraham Best dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. Alastair Cooke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Askam United supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Bacup FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Bacup FC.
