Kev Davies came out of the goal and Brad Bland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Grange-over-Sands City's Gez Searle got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 6 minutes into the game, Leo Houghton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grange-over-Sands City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Diss United the free kick. Kev Davies stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Seth Harban's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. With a little luck, Grange-over-Sands City's Kev Davies got control of the ball when Brad Bland tried to sneak it across the goal line. Brad Bland's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kev Davies read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Seth Harban had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kev Davies. Grange-over-Sands City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Seth Harban was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Seth Harban to make the kick off. Kev Davies showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benji Lemerond in the 52nd minute of the match. Brad Bland might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kev Davies. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brad Bland ran back to his position shaking his head. 59 minutes into the game, Seth Harban cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Kev Davies was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 62 minutes into the match, Grange-over-Sands City's goal looked a bit too open when Brad Bland came free, but Kev Davies reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kev Davies didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Seth Harban went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Kev Davies showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brad Bland in the 70th minute of the match. After 71 minutes of play, Diss United's Seth Harban made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kev Davies was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Seth Harban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the game, Donny Garlick cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-0. Kev Davies was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Seth Harban received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Kev Davies tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Grange-over-Sands City's Kev Davies played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brad Bland in the 89th minute of play. Marlon Duxbury hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute Brad Bland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kev Davies saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
