Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gareth Mulford took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ged Thomson charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ged Thomson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th minute, Ged Thomson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mick Macken struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Steve Speed didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dymchurch City. After having played for 8 minutes, Mick Macken managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dymchurch City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mick Macken was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Steve Speed stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mick Macken's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. The supporters of Bristol St George City booed when Dymchurch City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinnie Milner didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute Mick Macken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steve Speed saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Steve Speed came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Dymchurch City's Mick Macken. But to his dismay, Mick Macken quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joel Hamilton during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 26th minute, one of Bristol St George City:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bristol St George City. Steve Speed showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Mansell, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Ged Thomson hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. If Mick Macken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Phillip Hitchcock hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mick Macken to strike the kick off in the second half. Barry Helks made in the 61st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Colin Reading immediately put the ball in play. Adam Mansell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Steve Speed made a huge save. Bristol St George City's Steve Speed proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Bristol St George City from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Larry Carr in the 86th minute of play forced Bristol St George City's goalkeeper Steve Speed to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Dymchurch City's Steve Speed threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mick Macken, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Mick Macken took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Steve Speed. Steve Speed dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After 94 played minutes Dymchurch City got a freekick which was hit by Guy Blakeley. Dymchurch City's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
