Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Blair Medley started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the game, Faversham City's Sammy Legzdins nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Calum Cullen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Romeo Chappell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Max Legzdins, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Sammy Legzdins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calum Cullen having to interfere. Malcolm Fenwick kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Kristopher Barker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Romeo Chappell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Kristopher Barker could shoot a difficult shot in the 16th minute, which Romeo Chappell however easily saved by the left post. Blair Medley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Calum Cullen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Max Legzdins came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Scunthorpe United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Max Legzdins couldn't finish the play. Kristopher Barker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Romeo Chappell made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kristopher Barker got free with Romeo Chappell in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 37th match minute, Scunthorpe United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garth Bryden to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Blair Medley in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Calum Cullen saved Scunthorpe United from getting behind. After the first half Faversham City were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Max Legzdins made a kick off. Romeo Chappell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Max Legzdins in the 52nd minute of the match. After 55 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Faversham City! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Max Legzdins in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Romeo Chappell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Scunthorpe United getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Kristopher Barker hit a great ball. If Max Legzdins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 72 minutes into the game, Max Legzdins cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Romeo Chappell was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 79th minute of the match Grant Hassell sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Romeo Chappell skillfully saved the ball. Max Legzdins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Scunthorpe United's Max Legzdins got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th match minute, Faversham City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rick Robinson to maneuver through the defense. Faversham City's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
