Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Marc Sheringham started the match with the kick off. If Wes Knott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phil Birch in the 8th minute of play forced Hailsham's goalkeeper Simon Faulkner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Simon Faulkner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marc Sheringham in the 9th minute of the match. Wes Knott fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Drew Cain having to interfere. If Wes Knott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rio Short, 18 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. With a little luck, Fordham FC's Drew Cain got control of the ball when Martin Braithwaite tried to sneak it across the goal line. Phil Birch got in the 22nd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Simon Faulkner handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Wes Knott sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute, Dylon Blackwater hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute, Marc Sheringham made a precise shot to the right of Simon Faulkner. Hailsham's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 41 minutes into the match, Fordham FC's goalkeeper Drew Cain had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martin Braithwaite. Peter Saxton kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wes Knott made a kick off. Wes Knott fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Drew Cain having to interfere. Marc Sheringham recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Phil Birch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Phil Birch received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Simon Faulkner came out and tried to block the shot, but Phil Birch slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 65th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Fordham FC's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Braithwaite came free, but Drew Cain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wes Knott scored 1-2 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Drew Cain, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Simon Faulkner made an important save on a dangerous shot by Phil Birch in the 83rd minute. In the 86th minute, Martin Braithwaite made a precise shot to the right of Drew Cain. Fordham FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Hailsham's goalkeeper Simon Faulkner, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marc Sheringham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marc Sheringham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Faulkner having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
