The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marty Harrington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vinnie Woodford in the 3rd minute of play. Philip Hargreaves hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Vinnie Woodford's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marty Harrington was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinnie Woodford in the 21st minute of play forced Westbury-sub-Mendip's goalkeeper Marty Harrington to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marty Harrington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neil Yorke in the 23rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vinnie Woodford in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marty Harrington saved Westbury-sub-Mendip from getting behind. Toilet Seat FC's Neil Yorke got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41st minute, Neil Yorke made a precise shot to the right of Marty Harrington. Westbury-sub-Mendip's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Marty Harrington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neil Yorke in the 47th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Vinnie Woodford made the kick off in the second half. Ash Goldthorpe took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bradley Ferguson. Toilet Seat FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 71st minute, Neil Yorke reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marty Harrington. The goal made the score 0-2. In the 74th minute, Jeremy Shakespeare hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vinnie Woodford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Marty Harrington tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marty Harrington didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Neil Yorke went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Toilet Seat FC's Bradley Ferguson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Johnston in the 85th minute of play. Marty Harrington showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinnie Woodford in the 86th minute of the match. After 91 minutes, Brian Halford mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Toilet Seat FC and the Westbury-sub-Mendip players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 92nd minute, Brian Halford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Neil Yorke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Westbury-sub-Mendip fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Toilet Seat FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
