Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Justin Cadwallader got the match started through his kick off. Jeff Blackhurst's late challenge caught a Plymouth FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeff Blackhurst helped the player get up and apologised. Jeff Blackhurst hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Steve Radcliffe kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. The long shot by John-Paul Sharples in the 5th minute really tested Scott Peyton's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Denny Constantine hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Justin Cadwallader scored 1-0 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Scott Peyton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rich Beadle scored 1-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stevie Westwood, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 21st minute, Tom Prendergast got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfie Sutherland during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Welford's Alfie Sutherland got a free kick in the 28th minute. If Justin Cadwallader had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fred Beech received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Scott Peyton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alex Clifton hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brandon Trunks in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stevie Westwood prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Stevie Westwood stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tom Prendergast's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Tom Prendergast received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Stevie Westwood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tom Prendergast to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Tom Prendergast took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Stevie Westwood to make any attempt to save it. Alfie Sutherland got his second yellow card in the match during the 56th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 56th minute, Alfie Sutherland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Justin Cadwallader's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Scott Peyton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. After having played for 63 minutes, Fred Beech managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Plymouth FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fred Beech was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. During the 64th minute of the match Jeff Blackhurst completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jeff Blackhurst a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Jeff Blackhurst hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute Justin Cadwallader shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Scott Peyton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Rich Beadle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 72nd minute, Rich Beadle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rich Beadle might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stevie Westwood. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rich Beadle ran back to his position shaking his head. Brandon Trunks in the 75thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Stevie Westwood, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Rich Beadle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute, Rich Beadle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 85thth minute of the game Brandon Trunks who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Plymouth FC's Stevie Westwood was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Plymouth FC's Stevie Westwood played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rich Beadle in the 87th minute of play. Scott Peyton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justin Cadwallader in the 92nd minute of the match. Brandon Trunks struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Stevie Westwood didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Welford. Welford's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
