Sacha Bannister didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ed Wishart went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Sacha Bannister showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommy Naisbitt in the 25th minute of the match. Dan Partridge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Nathan Rundell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anthony Shilton hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Knutsford United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marty Wedlock was slow to take the kick. During this time Fulchester United FC's players had a chance to rest. Tyrone Pamplin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nathan Rundell having to interfere. Trevor Morriss short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Nathan Rundell to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Fulchester United FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Freddy Gettins hit a great ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ed Wishart made a kick off. If Trevor Morris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Knutsford United's goalkeeper Nathan Rundell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nathan Rundell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trevor Morris in the 61st minute of play. Nathan Rundell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tyrone Pamplin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Knutsford United's Nathan Rundell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trevor Morris in the 64th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Knutsford United's goal looked a bit too open when Tyrone Pamplin came free, but Nathan Rundell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dan Partridge helped the player get up and apologised. After 91 played minutes Fulchester United FC got a freekick which was hit by Dan Partridge. The Fulchester United FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Knutsford United to win.
