Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gregory Brook started the match with the kick off. Gregory Brook fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronny Pye-Finch having to interfere. A collision led to Heybridge Basin getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Doug Child hit a great ball. 10 minutes into the match, Liam Bush sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Ronny Pye-Finch threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Liam Bush this time. Perry Barker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronny Pye-Finch having to interfere. If Gregory Brook had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grant Paget received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Pierce Meehan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Perry Barker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ronny Pye-Finch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregory Brook in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugh Davies in the 25th minute of play forced Mason FC's goalkeeper Pierce Meehan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute Grant Paget shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pierce Meehan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th match minute, Mason FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shaun Sparks to maneuver through the defense. Pierce Meehan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hugh Davies went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ronny Pye-Finch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregory Brook in the 37th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gregory Brook in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ronny Pye-Finch saved Heybridge Basin from getting behind. Ronny Pye-Finch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregory Brook, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Heybridge Basin's goalkeeper Ronny Pye-Finch, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Perry Barker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mason FC's Gregory Brook got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hugh Davies to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Gregory Brook's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ronny Pye-Finch was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. In the 60th match minute, Mason FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dion Tipton to maneuver through the defense. Gregory Brook sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Doug Child's late challenge caught a Mason FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Doug Child helped the player get up and apologised. Mason FC's Shaun Sparks got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 67 played minutes Heybridge Basin got a freekick which was hit by Doug Child. Ronny Pye-Finch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perry Barker in the 70th minute of the match. Perry Barker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronny Pye-Finch having to interfere. With 75 minutes on the clock, Huey Stonehouse commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 75th minute of the game. One of Heybridge Basin:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mason FC:s goal. In the 77th minute there was a penalty for Mason FC. Liam Bush stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ronny Pye-Finch. 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mickey Theobold during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Heybridge Basin fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 80th minute. Penalty! Liam Bush walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Perry Barker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Ronny Pye-Finch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronny Pye-Finch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregory Brook, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Perry Barker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronny Pye-Finch having to interfere. Mason FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
