Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Carlton Alsford started the match with the kick off. After having played for 3 minutes, Phil Sutcliffe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Croyde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Phil Sutcliffe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Croyde's zone, Ivan Hay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Billie Williams came out of the goal and Ivan Hay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nigel Jenkinson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jez Selby having to interfere. Carlton Alsford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Prestwich FC's Jez Selby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nigel Jenkinson in the 23rd minute of play. Jez Selby showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nigel Jenkinson in the 28th minute of the match. Ivan Hay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billie Williams having to interfere. After 34 played minutes Croyde got a freekick which was hit by Doug Crossley. After recieving a nice pass, Prestwich FC's Teddy Pritchard tried to score from far away in the 36th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Billie Williams showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlton Alsford, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 41st minute, Ivan Hay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Phil Sutcliffe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Jez Selby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Phil Sutcliffe to strike the kick off in the second half. Doug Crossley kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Carlton Alsford left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Prestwich FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Jez Selby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phil Sutcliffe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlton Alsford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Carlton Alsford's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Billie Williams was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. 67 minutes into the match, Prestwich FC's Carlton Alsford sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Billie Williams narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Carlton Alsford succeeded in the game's 68th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. 76 minutes into the game, Prestwich FC's Carlton Alsford nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Billie Williams made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. In the 81st match minute, Prestwich FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roy Rowett to maneuver through the defense. Roger Cahill, 82 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Joey Haywood kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Billie Williams showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlton Alsford, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Billie Williams made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlton Alsford in the 90th minute of play.
