In the 13th match minute, Frimley Green City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francis Bettinson to maneuver through the defense. Ron Collins, 14 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Shane Leeson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Len Humphreys tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Frimley Green City's goalkeeper Jo Anderson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dominic Blythe. After a defensive mix-up in Frimley Green City's zone, Dave Pool stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jo Anderson came out of the goal and Dave Pool tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dominic Blythe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Jo Anderson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 28 played minutes Tipton United got a freekick which was hit by Dave Pool. Len Humphreys took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Willmott, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dave Pool in the 32nd minute of play forced Frimley Green City's goalkeeper Jo Anderson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Dave Pool took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Jo Anderson to make any attempt to save it. Jo Anderson made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Dominic Blythe sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Frimley Green City's Jo Anderson got control of the ball when Dominic Blythe tried to sneak it across the goal line. Len Humphreys showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shane Leeson in the 44th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 62nd minute, Dominic Blythe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dave Pool in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jo Anderson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 69thth minute of the game Dave Pool who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Frimley Green City's Jo Anderson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 70th minute, Francis Bettinson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dave Pool in the 71st minute of play forced Frimley Green City's goalkeeper Jo Anderson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the game, Tipton United's Dave Pool nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Shane Leeson got free with Len Humphreys in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Austin Naylor fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tipton United's protests and gave Austin Naylor a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Tipton United getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Austin Naylor hit a great ball. Jo Anderson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dominic Blythe in the 80th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Dave Pool's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jo Anderson was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game.
