Micheal West sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Duncan Crouch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gez Townsley in the 21st minute of the match. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bredon City's goalkeeper Duncan Crouch, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Duncan Crouch stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gez Townsley's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. The supporters of Greenwood FC booed when Bredon City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Russ Marchant didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Bredon City's goal looked a bit too open when Gez Townsley came free, but Duncan Crouch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Rod Barratt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Gez Townsley's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Duncan Crouch was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. In the 40th match minute, Bredon City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ritchie Carter to maneuver through the defense. CJ Allanson hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rod Barratt to make the kick off. If Rob Forrest had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 59 played minutes Bredon City got a freekick which was hit by Russ Marchant. Duncan Crouch made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when John Hunter sent off a good shot on target. In the 69th minute, Rod Barratt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pierce Phippard was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. John Hunter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 76 minutes into the match, Greenwood FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rod Barratt came free, but Pierce Phippard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Duncan Crouch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gez Townsley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, Greenwood FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rod Barratt came free, but Pierce Phippard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Greenwood FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Bredon City.
